The Dibra highlands are the roof of Albania and culminate with Korab Mount. The mountain is divided between Albania and North Macedonia, but its highest peak is in Albania with 2764 meters. Korab is surrounded by the national park of the same name and is known for its fantastic flora and fauna that has not been damaged by the phenomena of urban development. The park is surrounded by alpine lakes, impressive peaks that rest on mountain ranges hidden behind lush trees. Next to them breathe small villages with few inhabitants.
The park and the mountain are visited every year by thousands of locals and foreigners. Someone likes to explore nature and hidden streams between the valleys, someone is ready for hiking, someone else has their eyes fixed on the ridges of Korab and is ready for the next challenge in mountaineering. There are also those who simply disconnect from the big cities with the sole purpose of meeting nature and surrendering to it unconditionally. The park is the beginning of mountain and natural tourism. The area of the Dibra highlands is known for more than 50 natural monuments which are fanatically preserved by the inhabitants.
